Voice Of Vegas—Cool Off For A Cause
Cabana Rental at the Palms sees Proceeds Going to Charity
There’s nothing like kicking back in a cabana and looking like a true VIP during the hot summer in Vegas. Relaxing in this fashion can be a pretty expensive proposition, up to $500 a day, depending on the resort! Get ready to take a dip! Returning on select Mondays during the season, Palms’ annual Cabanas for a Cause will save you some dough and aid charities at the same time. The rental fee is a very affordable $100 with proceeds being earmarked this year for local charities, including the Special Olympics of Southern Nevada, Opportunity Village and Aid for AIDS of Nevada. Other poolside fun is Palms popular “Ditch Fridays” which reopens May 1 with weekly entertainment. Admission is free for hotel guests arriving before noon and $10 for local guys, non-local gals and $5 for college students 21 and older with valid ID.
